The Politics Of “Our Time” By Eldee

Eldee has taken it upon himself as a patriot to join his fellow youths in the clamour for a better Nigeria. In this article,  he laments on how a certain  group has taken advantage of his initiative and manipulated it to suit their political gains.

Months ago, before the 2011 voter registration exercise began in Nigeria some of us were very excited as we saw this as an opportunity to effect the much-needed change in our country. I geared up and began non-partisan campaigns aimed at youths in Nigeria to ensure that they register, vote, and protect their votes. I spent at least four to six hours everyday campaigning on social network platforms, TV/Radio, and print media.

Video: KENTRO WORLD - Gbemu

Gbemu is the first Single from the New KENTRO WORLD, Flo (Folarin Jackson), Dafols( Folusho Borbitey), Dj freaky T aka Oluibadan (olabode omolaja), the video of this song was shot in Lagos city and is dubbed as one of the most expensive videos ever shot in Lagos, Nigeria because of the props used in the video.
They got a lot of fame with Olu Maintain and from the indication given in their press release, Mr. Olu Maintain is no longer with the team.

Video: Etcetera - Ring The Alarm

With the release of his sophomore effort ‘Yes I Am‘ which is relatively doing well, Etcetera still holds a very high position in the soft rock/alternative genre coupled with the political tension in the country there's no beter time for singer Etcetera to release his new single 'ring the alarm'. There's pain in his voice, as Etcetera wails and sings. A very soulful delivery.

The single is the second cut to be released from Etcetera’s upcoming second album for X3M music.

They put this inspiring piece together to encourage Nigerians to Say Yes to change cos only if we believe we can, then we can because nothing is impossible with Baba God. Tight vocals and raps plus the mixture of familiar and unfamiliar faces makes this video interesting to watch. I love this song because i'm inspired already....what do you think??

Profile of the week: Eva Alordiah

Eva is a young Nigerian female emcee who hails from Delta State but grew up in Lagos. She started rapping at the age of 13 and decided to go professional at the age of 16.She recorded her first song at 20. When asked why she picked rap music above all the other genres, she said:

“Music is a way of expression for me. If I could do it any better by singing then I would but rapping comes naturally and it’s easier for me to relate to people through rap music”
