Introducing Chase – Ife ft. Mo’Cheddah

This is introducing Nigeria’s female pop group known as “CHASE” consisting of 3 young, vibrant and talented ladies (Chat-Ollah-January) in their early twenties started off in January of 2009 by music business executive Alex Yangs.

Check out this new joint by the trio, “Ife” which features Mo’Cheddah.

Chase is currently in the final stages of completing the tracklist for their debut album, “Inspired.” The album should be released within the first half of the year.

Profile of the week: Omawumi

GROWING UP

Omawumi was born on the 13th of April 1982 to late Chief Dr. Frank Anirejuoritse Megbele and Mrs Aya Queen Megbele. From childhood Omawumi had been known to be a playful, energetic, intelligent and extremely talented child as she was already a lead vocalist in the children’s choir of Foursquare Gospel Church in Warri at the age of 8.

Omawumi had her primary education in Nana Primary School Warri and her secondary education in College of Education Demonstration Secondary School where she was a member of their press club, head of primrose choir and drama group. In 1999 after she left secondary school she went on to study law at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Edo State.

After she graduated in 2005, she moved to Port-Harcourt, Rivers State where she worked with her family law firm called O.S Megbele & Associates while studying French in Alliiance Francaise.....click to see full bio

Obiwon - Great Again

Here is another national call to the polls by an artiste. As Nigeria gears up for another transition, Obiwon has added his voice to the call and he does it through his new track, 'Great Again'.
Simple message, tight vocals, nice mixed and mash ups; great song in my books.

The Obi mo crooner is expected to drop more tunes this year after spend time cooking and this single will be featured on his 3rd album, T.R2011, billed to drop later in the year.

Barely 36 hrs after that 'Thank you' single was dropped on this site, Flavour follows it up with the video of Woman is gone...(looks like Badbeatz recordz has turned the game around for the modern-highlife king). Although Flavour is crying in the song, it still didnt make it anything short of a sweet raggae tune.
